Sant Barbara Church in Gdansk

Built on the site where there was a wooden hospital chapel, standing there for at least two mid-fourteenth century. Church rebuilt several times due to numerous fires consuming the districts. Of interest are modern, very interesting stained glass windows from the street.

The church of Saint Barbara were stored relics of martyrs of Nicomedia, they were sent to Pomerania probably at the time of Prince Svatopluk. Podcczas war Gdańsk Batory reliquary was melted on the coin and the same arm martyr went to church on Long Gardens. What happened to him later is not known.
