The building was built by Abraham van den Block in the early seventeenth century. The right to possession for personal use granary reserved the Casimir IV, after posting the great privileges of Gdansk after the Thirteen Years' War. Granary was to be built at the expense of the city, no wonder that procrastination stewards of this investment more than 150 years. At this time, the royal stored grain in one of the city granaries.
