At the end of the XIX century, built in the northern parts Ołowianka pumping plants, preserved to this day. Along with it there appeared the first chimney and steam engines. The task was to collect sewage pumping stations from all over the city. It was deliberately placed very low, on the border of urbanized and industrial area. Odprowadzały sewage pipes in the direction of the meadows in Stogi, where after treatment in septic filled with sand in which plants grow, the wastewater was discharged into the Dead Vistula Vistula Mouth fortress around.
