Maritime Museum was founded in 1960 as the Maritime Museum, the Central rank was raised in 1972. The host institution for the preservation of their mission nautologicznego, through the collection and preservation of historical sites related to shipping, boatbuilding, shipbuilding, fishing and dissemination of knowledge about them, as well as the Polish maritime history and its economy.
